Kerry Flip Flop Update
Kerry’s making a strong foreign policy speech attacking Bush’s decisions and handeling of the Iraq War.
News Flash: Now Kerry wouldn’t have gone to war.
I’m still waiting for Kerry to stop bashing Bush and say what he will do as president. OK now he’s saying he laid out a consitent plan from the beginning to deal with Iraq: 1) International support with debt relief, troops and UN protection, insist they make good on the UN resolution, let anyone in on reconstruction contracts.We cannot hope to succeed untill other nations share the burden. #2 train Iraqi security forces. #3 Reconstruction that brings tangable benefits to the Iraqi people. #4 take steps to make sure elections are held, which includes bringing in help from other countries to guard the UN once it comes in.
Then we can start withdrawing troops next summer and bring them all home within four years.
The whole plan hinges on greater international support. There’s still no back up plan if the world doesn’t flip flop and reverse its current position.
Like the convention, he sounded good until you realize there’s no substance.
