We have had at times 42 – 45% voter turn out for presidential elections. 20-30% turn outs for state and local elections, and its the state and local elections that really decides how much or less we pay in taxes, insurance and health care. State government sets the atmosphere for employment opportunities or lack of.

An estimated 8,000,000 people voting in Afghanistan. 80%. Does anyone know how crappy america’s voter turnout is? As far as I remember it’s arount 50% of th registered populus. Correct me if I’m wrong please.

This is just incredible! The startling this is the number of people who voted the face of death threats. Whereas, we can’t even manage that in this country, where no such threats exist.

These people care more about their civic duty than Americans.
