MiG 29s are, if I remember correctly, high-altitude fighters… used for nothing other than air-to-air combat. I can’t imagine a more useless aircraft for the Yemeni goverment to purchase; but it looks impressive.

Just what they need in Yemen, Mig 29s. And who are they afraid of? They’ve got no natural enemies in the region for which they’d need fighters.
