Thank you for your comprehensive & professional analysis. All theories are possible with such a regime, but I hope that the American Admin. is not involved in such a conspiracy, it will be horrible, though I believe that there are no boundaries for intelligence dirty games.

For our Yemen’s best friend, don’t be afraid! the Yemeni regime is incapable to provide a clean drinking water or uninterruptible power for its citizens let alone to think, only “THINK” in a nuclear weapons.

WOW, what is the US and the international society going to do about that? wait until saleh gets some nuclear weapons? you know he has set up an agency for that too, operating since 1999 and directly affiliated to the presidency, with increased funding and ‘foreign’ scientists visiting every now and then.
Also, you could research the opinions of Former vice President Dr. Abdulrhman Al-Baidani, who may run for presidency should saleh not run, his campaign included several interesting insights around Yemen’s reality.

You deserve an award for your analysis; I wish we had more journalists in Yemen capable of doing such qualified reports.

Where have you been, we missed you. Hoping you and your respectful family a good time, we pray for you all.
All the readings you mentioned about the meanings of that dreadful escape are possible, because you are dealing with an insane fragmented personality of this deteriorating dictator.
I want to draw your attention of one important fact that is characteristic of Yemen. Yemen has never built institutions.
They were absent before the sep. 1962 regime, and this is why the sep. revolution erupted. All the short age republican governments couldn’t make it because of the civil war and many different other causes until Mr. Salih came. He is now 27 years as a president, all his credential is being a killer, so he failed to make an institutional state. This is because of his obvious ignorance and that he has no guts and capabilities to achieve that high goal. He is now more incapable because of many factors including his shameful ignorance, and that he accepts advise from no body, actually those beside him are afraid of giving any proper advice ; add to that his own fears and phobia from a real democratic regime that beside his fragmented personality and frank mental illness.
The importance of appreciating this fact is that when you talk about institutions, democracy and all the terminologies of the modern 21st. centaury states you should appreciate that they don’t have the real meanings and implications you and the modern society have for them. They are very shallow and meaningless among Yemeni tribal society. This is why the fading insane dictator is abusing them locally and internationally.
