NewsYemen was informed that sheikh of Sanhan tribes handed over on Sunday the contractor charged of killing the trader Mohammad al-Hamidi two weeks ago in the Al-Safyah zone of the capital Sana’a to security authorities.
The source said that sheikh Ali Maqsa, who is a relative of president Ali Abdullah Saleh, extradited only one suspect in spite of there were 20 other associates involved in the crime.
The source said also that the Sana’a Security Department has immediately referred the suspect to the Criminal Investigation Department.
Mohammad al-Hamidi, 42, was killed after a quarrel with a contactor over a vacuum cleaner the contractor bought from al-Hamidi and preferred afterward to return it to the shop. When al-Hamidi told the contractor he has not money to pay him back, asking him to come back another time, the contractor came back to the shop with 20 others. They shot al-Hamidi killed and fled away to their tribe in Sanhan.
