Planes to Lebanon

A report showed about 40% of all the medicine in Yemen is expired or counterfeit:

SANA’A, Aug 03 (Saba)- Yemen is coordinating with the Jordanian government for saving the Yemeni planes carrying human relief and assistances for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples to land in Beirut and Gaza airports.

The chairman of Yemeni Public Committee to Support the Relief for Lebanese and Palestinian Peoples Yahya Mohammad Abdullah Saleh said that the committee would launch donations by Yemeni businessmen in at the defense camp in Hadda St., Sana’a.

He said that five planes are ready now to carry human relief of food and medicines, pointing out that the relief includes 36 tons of medicine presented by 21 medical companies with a total cost YR 45 million.

It also includes 84 tons of food presented by Thabet Brothers Group, in addition to 26 tons of medicines and food from the Yemeni Economic Corporation,he said.

al-Shawa: President of the republic Ali Abdullah Saleh demands Egypt’s president, Mohammed Hosin Mobarak, to interfere for permitting Yemeni relief planes for landing on Beirut airport after preventing Israeli authorities for them. This demand comes after refusal the Israeli authorities reaching a Yemeni aids to Lebanon. Yemen announced yesterday preparing relief aids on two planes.
