Saleh Calls for Moderation by Mosque Preachers, Hails Forces of Resistance
President Ali Abdullah Saleh, President of the Republic attended the opening session of the consultative and guided training for guidance leaders organized by the Ministry of Endowments and Guidance under the title of “a moderate and centrist discourse in guidance as the safety and protection of the community and generation “.
The President spoke to guides, where he expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Endowments in preparing and arrangement to hold such useful sessions for guides and instructors which will have a great impact on the rest of the guides and preachers throughout the country.
“The message of the mosque is useful and effective but it needs to be scrutiny and correct information. It is a message of great benefit to all citizens and at different levels through which people could be informed of latest developments culturally, economically, socially and everything is new. Friday sermon or a guidance seminar is great if it is accurately and gathering information through which preacher or guide can benefit people in a correct way”, the president said.
He added Yemen within a few days will enter into democratic maturity represented in the competitive presidential and local elections among all the political parties basis on peaceful competition and peaceful transfer of power either it is presidential or local elections without falsifying of citizens awareness or altering the facts.
He went on that the preacher should be accurate in choosing the correct information to tell citizens. “We want to conduct elections under the security, safety and stability arena and that there are no chaos in order to show the world that our people is a civilized people as described by the Prophet P.B.U.H that Yemen’s Faith and Wisdom is Yemeni. Let the competitors introduce their programmes and visions without falsifying of citizens awareness or lie to the people”, president said.
A sermon should be focused on the general people’s concern, the government duty towards its citizens and the citizens duty towards their country, and about the security, safety, fraternity, national unity, reconciliation and discard disparity, the president said while he addressed the guidance leaders.
After that, the president reviewed the historic situations of Yemen before 1978 saying to preachers let me remind you who now some of you may elderly and followed the past events of Yemen which were disturbed before 1978 in the north of so-called fronts, disturbances, vandalism and external interventions, and how was the situation in the south of the country also external interventions under the totalitarian regime and conflicts within a party itself and conflicts between the north and the south of the country until the blessed unity on 22 May 1990, where it was as savior of the nation and its people. Yemeni families had reunion and the unity have been established on common denominators and constitution.
The preachers’ sermons are great and useful for people and preachers should guide people in each governorate about the importance of security, stability, national unity and reconciliation among people far away from hatred, sedition and tribal discrimination, the president added.
On the other hand, the president Saleh talked about the triumph of Lebanese resistance saying that in spite of religious groups such as Shiis and Sunni etc, Lebanese turned around their resistance till victory has been achieved.
” Now balances and strategic equations of Israel-Arab war have been changed. The Morale of Arab forces had been frustrated before in 1948, 1967, 1973 and 1982 because of western and Israeli medias. It is now the morale of Arab forces have been surged to utmost after Israel lost war on Lebanon. America’s point of view toward Arabs have been changed now and the war on Lebanon infests trust among Arab army”, the president Saleh said.Finally, the president Saleh saluted the Lebanese resistance on the occasion of triumph over Israel.

President Ali Abdullah Saleh congratulated on Monday the Lebanese people for the victory against Israeli army that finally found it should respect UN resolutions for the first time.
Speaking in a training course for leaders of guidance, president Saleh hailed resistance in Lebanon and Palestine, congratulating the Lebanese people for the victory against Israeli arrogance.
He said that the Zionist entity was defeated by the Islamic and national resistance in
Lebanon and Palestine.
On the other hand, president Saleh addressed participants in the course by saying that the message of the mosques “is great and has strong impacts on society”.
“It is useful as many peoples, representing different classes, can know the cultural, social and economic developments through it,” he said.
He called on the preachers to be careful while they deliver this message and say true information. He said that the country will witness presidential and local elections in the coming period, wishing the competition to be peaceful and fair.
He said that the competition should base on reasonable programs, calling the preachers to speak out about problems of the people and duty of the government towards those problems as well as duty of citizens toward the state.
“You have to talk about security, prosperity and national unity,” said Saleh.
He said that the preachers have to call on people to reject revenge, discrimination,
racism, tribalism and other bad habits.
