80 Electoral Centers Shut Down

Elections official of supreme commission of elections and referendum (SCER) considered stopping some electoral committees its works doesn’t serve locals services in these centers who (the citizens ) will be deprived of their legal and constitutional right.
Numbers of stopped electoral centers amounted 80 centers of 5620 on the level of local districts.
Chief of technical affairs planning sector in (SCER) attributed the cause behind stopping that committees to tribal discords among locals in that districts confirming that (SCER) will spare no efforts for solving as such problems for the sake of their interests (the citizens ).
Also GPC begins campaigning early.
70 consituencies ask for projects: The election committees in 70 constituencies could not work for reasons which are not related to the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum, said the head of Technical Affairs in the SCER, Mohammad al-Sayani.
Al-Sayani said the committees could not perform their duties in those constituencies because of differences between candidates for local councils and the people’s request of developmental projects. He said those constituencies were in Marib and al-Jawf.
He told NewsYemen that the number of committees which could not work is decreasing day after day. He said the SCER ordered the committees to enlighten people to practice their rights.
