There is no doubt in my mind that to secure other rights in these countries we must first get women’s rights. These guys are afraid of women, which is why they don’t want them as candidates. They know that women in power will spoil their “ol boy’s club”

women can definitely be a key player in the yemeni elections considering the large body of female registered voters. the problem, however, is that they lack both the will and the means to be organized, not to mention illiteracy in a patriarchal society

past elections show–in many electorial districts–that some MPs and local council members could never win the elections without female votes..
surprisingly enough, islah is the party that benefits more from female voters than other parties..
