Thats really not good.
SANAA, Yemen (Reuters) — Yemeni security forces wounded and arrested a gunman after he opened fire at the U.S. embassy in Sanaa late on Monday, a government official said on Tuesday.
“He is now in hospital under heavy security and will be interrogated,” the official said.
The gunman opened fire with an AK-47 semi-automatic rifle at the fortified compound and was shot and wounded by members of the large Yemeni security force guarding the site. No embassy staff were hurt.
Yemen beefed up security round the embassy on Tuesday, increasing the number of guards and blocking a road leading to the compound. A U.S. diplomat told Reuters the embassy would be closed for the day but did not comment on the attack.
A primitive individual attack:
SANAA- A security source told almotamr.net Tuesday that the person who fire at the American embassy Tuesday morning was severely wounded in the belly as he was shot by a member of the central security member guarding the building of the American embassy.
The source added that the 25, young man called Saleh Mohammed Salem from the governorate of Abyan is in the military hospital under strict security guard and that a policeman had given him first aid half an hour after he was wounded.
The source said the armed person fired his Kalasnikove randomly at the American embassy building at one o’clock after midnight after he got down from a passenger bus. He added that the unit of terror fighting began interrogating the perpetrator but he ruled out that he is a terrorist, depending on the mechanism of implementing the attack which he described as primitive and individual. Security troops have closed the roads leading to the embassy and imposed strict guard on the area.
