Add Two Senate Seats for Yemen?
March 8, 2008- Yemeni court referred an administrative and civil claim against the US embassy to Yemen pleaded by a Yemeni lawyer Nazih al-Imad, considering that it is not specialized in such cases.
The Yemeni lawyer demanded to allow Yemeni citizens to take part in the coming US presidential elections as voters, add two seats in the US senate of Yemen , spread voting boxes through the country’s provinces and accepting Yemeni citizens to nominate in any US elections.
The Yemeni lawyer justified his demands as the US captured over 100 citizens who resided in other countries from 2001-2004 and imprisoned them in Guantanamo bay, though most of them never visited the United States or commit any crimes against.
He also said that US held Sheikh Mohammad al-Moayad and Mohammad Zayedm , two Yemeni citizens, after they were arrested outside America and that they were prosecuted before US court , though they did not commit a crime inside America.
