Sana’a security agencies had arrested yesterday three persons; one of them has an Arab nationality, possessing a Yemeni counterfeit currency of more than 100.000 Yr.

Well-known sources stated to (26sep.net) that the three men had been arrested yesterday in Al-Zaraqain’s security checkpoint, when they used a fake currency for buying qat in the qat market. The qat’s seller, after he had found out that money used for buying qat was counterfeit, informed immediately the security checkpoint in the area.

The sources also revealed that the security had found out about 103.000 Yr of a Yemeni counterfeit currency possessed by the three suspects when they tried to escape from the capital Sana’a by a car.

The information confirmed on Monday morning that the security has enabled to seize a machine used for printing counterfeit currency in the suspect’s house, a Palestinian nationality, who inhabited in Mathbah area.

The Sana’a security agencies have still conducted investigations with the three suspects to refer them to the judiciary.
