Fahdli Negotiates Deal with Waheshi
Update: theres no buzz on this. Maybe someone misunderstood the original deal.
Original post: Well that was predictable. Its like watching a car crash in slow motion.
Also very nice packaging for the West, al Fahdli as mediator, but theres no mention of the YR 3 million or the many other aspects of the original deal that was struck at the time or the other broader deal, and its a very broad and complicated arrangement. Fahdli and Waheshi are only two of all the many players in motion.
Its funny though, a temporary truce with al Qaeda, the Pakistan scenario, is the best they could come up with to explain all the machinations. Its not funny that the regime will insist that this latest truce is necessary “counter-terror” accommodations, and some people will buy it on face value.
Al Ghad: “Al Ghad” from reliable sources that the mediation committee led by the leading “jihad” Tarek Fadli former member of the Standing Committee of the ruling party (General People’s Congress) has succeeded in a temporary truce for a year between Yemeni authorities and leaders of the organization (al Qaeda) in Yemen, according to cease all operations combat organization in Yemen, as opposed to the release of prisoners in the jails of political security, who have not proven to have been involved in any “terrorist” acts within the country.

من جهة ثانية أصيب خمسة ضباط من جهاز الأمن السياسي بجروح مختلفة الأسبوع الماضي في عملية مداهمة لأحد المنازل في العاصمة صنعاء بحثاً عن عنصر ينتمي إلى تنظيم “القاعدة” المحظور قبل أن يتم اعتقاله، وأكدت مصادر أمنية طلبت عدم الكشف عن هويتها لـ”الغد” بأن الضباط الخمسة أصيبوا بجروح مختلفة بينهم إصابات بليغة عندما داهموا منزلاً سكنياً في شارع “الرياض”، كان قيادياً خطراً في “القاعدة” مختبئاً فيه.. موضحة بأن هذا العنصر القاعدي ويدعى “ناصر الغول” والذي كان يتخفى في المنزل المملوك لأحد أقاربه فاجأ الضباط بإلقاء قنبلة يدوية انفجرت تحت أرجلهم، غير أن محاولته الفرار باءت بالفشل عندما تمكن أحد الضباط المصابين بجروح متوسطة من توجيه ضربة موجعة إلى رأسه بسلاحه الآلي، ليفقد على أثرها الوعي ويتم ضبطه.
وما يزال ضباط الأمن السياسي يتلقون العلاج حالياً في المستشفى الجمهوري بصنعاء.
