BERLIN, Nov. 23 (Saba) – German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle hailed Monday Yemen’s democratic approach as well as the level of distinctive relations between Yemen and Germany.

He reaffirmed, during his meeting with Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi
during the Yemeni-German official talks, held in the headquarters of the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin on Monday, his countries support for the security and stability of Yemen.

Westerwelle and al-Qirbi also discussed the Yemeni-German relations and ways of developing them, reviewing the international and regional issues of common concern.

The German official talked about the situations in Saada as well as the displaced people’s issue, affirming appreciation of the German government for the efforts exerted by Yemen to release the German people kidnapped in Saada.

The fate of six foreigners, five Germans and a Briton, kidnapped in June in Saada province in northern Yemen among a group of nine is still unclear after three captives were found dead three days later the kidnapping.
