Yemen Rebels Display Captured Saudi Weapons

Video here and another here. I wonder how much of that (and I know nothing of weapons) is of US origin. The Saudis are using F15s and Apaches.The rebels have alleged that some of the strikes hit civilians. The Saudis have forceably returned Yemeni civilians fleeing the violence across the border back to the war zone. One of the few humanitarian aid corridors established crosses the Saudi border into northern Yemen. SA reports nine soldiers missing after rebels report their capture.

The Houthis are chanting death to America (your country) Death to isreal they are but a terrorist group who carried arms even against their own people, thirsty for blood and I pray the Saudis will wipe them from the face of earth before they are to hurt anyone in the world.

Dearest Dana,

Do not put too much meaning into their chants.
1. Death of America doesn’t mean that they intend to invade America and kill Americans. They mean an end to American imperial dominance world dominance.
2. The same is true when they chant death to Israel
They also chant in defiance of state oppression on their freedoms. Houthis were attached by the state when they demonstrated and chanted against America s invasion of Iraq and against Yemen’s cooperation with America.
It would be better if they drop these slogans but they haven’t. I am sure that they will later on at some stage.

Sammy,

With 3,000 dead innocent American civilians as the result of 9/11 – I’d beg to differ that “Death To America” doesn’t mean death to Americans.

And now, I see Iranians chanting “Death to America” as they continue to build nuclear weapons. Forgive me if I err on the side of caution.

What difference does it make if the Saudis use American made weapons? They also have French, British, Swedish, Russian, and Italian made aircraft, helos, bombs, bullets, and whatever else. People kill people, and will find a means to do so. You can’t condemn a legal sale to a recognized government. Now if they were using illegal chemical or biologicals, then you would have a beef. And those mis-guided chanting “death to _____” are simply the bottom of the cruel food chain. Their own government which has zero interaction with the US or Israel is responsible for their plight, yet it is always the problem of the “great Satan” – under Bush, Clinton, or Obama.

and correct G-Man the Saudis are using panavia tornados planes made in United Kingdom, Germany and Italy and weapons from China, as well as F15s and most recently Apaches helicopters.

they have been battling the yemen gov. for years ,it is only after the houthis killed the saudi border patrol men and stole their patrol car, they bombed them..
